Mr. Josh Pace
Director of Bands
Mr. Josh Pace is the Head Band and Orchestra Director at Northwest High School. He completed his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Grace University in 2017 and is currently earning his Masters in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mr. Pace is in his 3rd year of teaching at Northwest High School. His teaching responsibilities include Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra at the High School, and assisting when possible at neighboring middle schools.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Pace enjoys playing piano for church and spending time with his wife, Marisa, and their families - 9 brothers and sisters between the two of them!
Mr. Tom Cosby
Assistant Band Director
Mr. Tom Cosby is entering his 21st year as an Instrumental Music Teacher for the Omaha Public Schools. In addition to helping at Northwest, Mr. Cosby teaches band at Buffett Maget Middle School, Saddlebrook, Prairie Wind, Edison, and Harrison Elementary Schools. Mr. Cosby assists with the Marching Band and Symphonic Band at Northwest.
As a professional oboist, Mr. Cosby has maintained an oboe studio in Omaha for the past 23 years. He has also been an adjunct oboe instructor at Dana College and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is an active performer throughout the Omaha area, subbing with the Omaha Symphony and traveling to perform with Mannheim Steamroller in November and December each year.
Mr. Cosby is married to Erin Cosby, an active musician and violin teacher. They are proud parents of Samantha, John, Brandon and Alexandra.
Ms. Tara Neaderhiser
Flag Corp Coordinator
Miss Tara is the current Flag Corp choreographer and coach at Northwest High School. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with five years experience. In regards to flags, she spun for three years in high school and four years as a member of the Cornhusker Marching Band (Two of those years as a rank leader). Miss Tara was excited to join the Northwest Band program last year and bring flag corps back to the marching band. She is even more excited to be returning to Northwest for her second year of working with the Color Guard.
When Miss Tara isn't spinning flags you can catch her teaching ballroom dance lessons or planning Disney vacation for her clients. She is grateful to continue her love o flag corp and inspire the students to pursue a love for music in new, unique ways.
